Transitional registrants

Registration criteria for transitional registrants

With the initiation of the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Prince Edward Island, all audiologists or speech-language pathologists who were working in PEI during the year preceding the College formation on August 1, 2023, and are members of Speech-Language and Audiology Canada are considered registered with the College as transitional registrants. This automatic registration is valid for ninety (90) days.

The first renewal is due by October 31, 2023. Registrants who fail to renew by the deadline will have to go through the reinstatement process. The late fee (applicable after October 15) will be waived for transitional registrants this year only.

The online registration system (HMS)

The email addresses and the names of AUD/S-LP professionals who were imported into the online registration system were obtained from PEI Speech & Hearing Association.

If you were a practicing AUD/S-LP professional in PEI as of August 1, 2023, and are a member of the PEI Speech & Hearing Association, but not registered with SAC, you do not meet the criteria for automatic registration. If this is the case, contact the Registrar to determine your pathway to registration.

If you meet the transitional registration criteria, please follow the process below:

Accessing your CASLPPEI member profile

If you are one of the AUD/S-LP professionals matching the above criteria, and your name is not on the list of registered AUD/S-LP professionals, please register via the online registration system - HMS - selecting Transitional applicant as the registration type. As you are considered a transitional registrant, your application fee will be waived. You will have to renew your registration by October 31, 2023.

If your name is on the list of registered AUD/S-LP professionals, you can access your member profile within the online registration system - HMS.

To access your HMS profile for the first time, go to the HMS login screen, then click on the Forgot password? link. IMPORTANT: On the Recover Password screen, enter the email address you used to communicate with the PEI Speech & Hearing Association. The system will send you a link to set up your password.
