Professional currency requirements
Audiologists and speech-language pathologists applying to register with CASLPPEI or renewing their general registration must demonstrate currency of professional knowledge and skills.
Applicants must meet one of the following requirements within the four years preceding the date of the application or general registration renewal:
- Completion of the educational requirements;
- Active practice of audiology or speech-language pathology without any restrictions for at least 1,000 hours; or
- Completion of a refresher program in audiology or speech-language pathology approved by the Registrar.
Once registered, the College members track their active practice hours within the online registration system - HMS.
